Customer Questions and Answers – Fiber Tableware

Question: Is the fiber tableware compostable?

Answer: Yes, all of our fiber plates and tableware are 100% compostable. The fiber tableware will breakdown into compost in 2 to 4 months in a commercial composting environment.

Question: What is the fiber tableware made out of?

Answer: The fiber tableware products are made from various natural fibers including sugarcane bagasse, wheatgrass, bamboo, and silver grass. Usually, the fibers are diverted from other industries manufacturing processes to the packaging factory. This is where the fibers are cleaned, processed, and given new life as food packaging!

Question: Is the fiber tableware strong?

Answer: Yes, the fiber tableware is strong. Each tableware product is made with a heavy-duty fiber material that is designed to hold up to grease and hot foods. The fiber is then pressed under 15 tons of pressure to create one strong fiber plate. Serve your food confidently, including everything from fried chicken, caesar salad, to apple pie. These plates are perfect for: quick serve restaurants, drop-off catering, backyard barbecues, and everything in between!

Question: Can you microwave the fiber tableware?

Answer: Yes, absolutely. The fiber tableware is microwave-safe, and can be heated in the microwave to your discretion.

Question: Can you put the fiber tableware in the oven?

Answer: We do not recommend putting fiber tableware in the oven.
